The fall season has made its way around the corner, and the festive activities have come into play. There are so many different activities to do in the fall, and they never fail to bring joy to the students at St. Dominic.

Places like Dickherber Farms, Echard Farms, and Eagle Fork have reopened for the autumn season. Echards Farms holds apple picking, pumpkins, a corn maze, hay rides, and many more festive activities. Every year, hundreds of people go to Echard’s Farm to experience the fall festivities.

“My favorite fall activity is going to the pumpkin patch and picking out pumpkins with my family,” Junior Alison Palmer said.

No matter how old one is, carving pumpkins will always be a classic tradition that truly brings on the essence of the feeling of fall. With autumn, comes Halloween. Halloween is a holiday that every child partakes in. Even as people grow older, they still find joy in activities like trick-or-treating.

“I enjoy trick-or-treating because it’s a good time to go out with friends and have fun,” Junior Logan Pierce said

If one does not enjoy going out to collect candy on Halloween, one can still hand out the candy to those partaking in the joyous activity.

Stores like Target, Spirit Halloween, Walmart, and Michaels hold festive autumn decorations, and Halloween costumes. Spirit Halloween has become a staple for students to visit, and enjoy the wild variety of costumes.

“My favorite thing to do is going through a corn maze with my friends to take pictures and make memories,” Junior Lucy Ryan said

Fun fact, the largest corn maze was sixty acres in Dixon, California. Going to a corn maze is a great way to spend some quality time with friends, and family working together to find the end to the endless corn maze.

“Getting Pumpkin Spice lattes from Starbucks, after a long practice of volleyball, is my favorite way to spend fall,” Junior Keeley Skiljan said

When fall comes around, favorite festive treats like Pumpkin Spice drinks from Starbucks and apple cider add to the joy of autumn.

Fall is a time to spend time with family and friends and do activities that bring us joy. These activities will always succeed at creating impactful memories, that will last forever.
