St. Dominic has many different cars, here’s the top ten

Around St. Dominic, many students have a variety of different cars. While sure, our parking lots aren’t the biggest, Dominic’s spots are stocked with various interesting vehicles. Whether it be high-speed sport cars, or heavy duty vehicles, Dominic’s top ten automobiles do not disappoint.

  1. Jeep Rubicon

Senior Brooke Tufts, is the owner of the 2022 Jeep Rubicon. With modifications to Brookes’ likings, she added a two-inch lift as well as 22” red wheels, and bigger and better 37” tires. The roof is one of the highlights to this Jeep, it can be taken off with just a click of a button. On the exterior, it has red and white accents and to top the car off, she has added gray American flag window decals on the two rear side windows.

My favorite thing about my car is taking the doors and roof off of my Jeep in the summertime, to be able to get more fresh air,” Tufts said.

9.Dodge Challenger

After junior Austin Johnson’s original car got totaled due to hail, he ended up getting this slick  Dodge Challenger. His car includes All-Wheel Drive, black paint, and soft black interior. In the future, he plans on driving a R34 GTR Skyline.

“The features on my car is that it’s a 2019 Challenger with AWD, and could easily beat any 5.0 in a race,” Johnson said.

  1. GMC Truck

The Wagner family owns many impressive cars, including junior Jackson Wagner’s 2018 GMC Sierra Truck. Wagner enjoys driving his truck for many reasons, but for him it’s mainly being able to drive around in an impressive truck. The blacked-out GMC Sierra includes ranch hand brush guards and punisher emblems around the sides of the truck.

My dad got this car and gave it to me. I love driving it simply because it is a truck and I’ve always loved trucks,” Wagner said.

  1. Dodge Challenger

When walking outside the mezzanine, you might notice Coach Arell’s Black Dodge Challenger. Bought in 2016 as a brand new ride, this sports car includes the SXT Plus which means standard extra. It also has a leather interior, and the fully loaded entertainment package. Although Arell enjoys his car for a variety of reasons, he loves driving it mainly for the sleek look and smooth ride.

“My favorite thing about my car is probably the way it rides and handles, and the overall look of the car. I feel like I am driving the Batmobile,” Arell said.

  1. Mustang Turbo

Junior Kenzie Dyn’s 2016 Mustang Turbo undeniably stands out in the Dominic lot. After receiving the car as a 16th birthday present, she instantly fell in love with the car’s speed and looks. Her charcoal gray ride includes louvers on the side back windows, making it even more slick.

“ Later down the road I plan on getting another Mustang, I really want a Mustang  SUV later on as well,” Dyn said.

  1. Chevy Camaro

If you know junior Josh Giesmann, you probably know he owns a 2015 Red Hot Camaro. After he got this blazing ride handed down from his Dad, he quickly favored many features about his car. These include its adrenaline red interior and its front splitter, which are specific to the rare commemorative edition. Additionally, Camaros have become a tradition throughout the Giesmann family, as both his brother and Dad also own Camaros.

“I like driving my car because my Dad’s first car in high school was also a Camaro. My oldest brother has a 2018 blue Camaro, and my dad still has his 198 Camaro Z28 in red,” Giesmann said.

  1. Ford Raptor

The 2022 Ford F150 Raptor 37, is owned by sophomore Sebastian Simpson. Sebastian has customized his truck to suit him, and that includes leather interior with suede insert, a 12in infotainment screen, a sunroof, and a digital dash. The Simpson family is no stranger to liking and driving around high in cars. One of those cars was a Shelby GT500, with over 800 horsepower and it has beautiful recaro seats.

My favorite thing about this car would be that it is so unique and customized to my liking,” Simpson said.

  1. Ford Bronco

Ford Broncos are increasing in popularity everyday, and junior Lulu Hawkins jumped on the trend. Hawkins car includes many extensive features, but most notably is the customization. On the car’s front, “Bronco” has been wrapped in pink, tying in a bit of Lulu’s personality.

“I really enjoy my Bronco, because I was able to customize it to my liking, and that’s the reason I chose pink, because it’s bright and stands out,” Hawkins said.

  1. Mustang GT

Although Mustangs are one of the most popular sports cars found around St.Dominic, this electric blue beauty stands out. This bright colored Mustang is owned by junior Lexy Sellenschuetter, who arguably possesses the most impressive sports car at St. Dominic. Additionally, this Mustang is a 5.0, making it an even more powerful model.

“My family also has another 2016 5.0 mustang Gt, a BMW x5m widebody, a 1966 mustang fastback, and a 1978 corvette stingray,” Sellenschuetter said.

    1.   Tesla Model 3

James Fink’s charcoal Tesla is easily the most impressive car in the St. Dominic parking lot. Tesla’s are known for being one of the most powerful electric vehicles on the planet. While Fink enjoys his car for a variety of reasons, his favorite features are the seat warmers, its ability to play music, and the car comes with built-in games.

“Since we live over 30 minutes away I like driving it because it’s electric, which means it accelerates and decelerates quickly,” Fink said.

These cars range from high-speed sport cars, to heavy duty vehicles. Many students around St. Dominic have very impressive cars and these are only a few that stand out the most in the St. Dominic parking lot.
