No. 15 Oral Roberts punches their ticket to the Sweet Sixteen after defeating No. 2 Ohio State.

The NCAA March Madness tournament is well underway with the Sweet Sixteen beginning on Friday. Many teams have surprised fans by causing greatest upsets against some of the top dogs in the bracket.

Don’t worry if your bracket went berserk after a very early and nail-biting game. No. 15 seed Oral Roberts beat the No. 2 favorite Ohio State in the first round in overtime. But Oral Roberts didn’t stop there. In their second round game against No. 7 Florida State, the Golden Eagles continued their Cinderella story with a 81-78 win.

An even bigger story that took place featured No. 8 Loyola Chicago. Loyola dominated in their first game against No. 9 Georgia Tech, but it’s the second round where they achieved something historic. Loyola took out the No. 1 powerhouse Illinois 71-58 in one of the craziest upsets of the tournament. Expect the Ramblers to go far in their next game against No. 12 Oregon State on Saturday.

The 12 seed from the Midwest Region pulled off a huge win against No. 5 Tennessee in the first round 70-56, but that’s not all. The Beavers continued their hot streak in the second round by beating No. 4 Oklahoma State by 10 points thanks to an amazing defense.

No. 11 Syracuse also came up big by beating both No. 6 San Diego in the first round, and No. 3 West Virginia in the second round. The Oranges could make it far by beating Houston in their 20th Sweet Sixteen appearance.

In the East, No. 14 Abilene Christian proved they are a force to be reckoned with after upsetting No. 3 favorite Texas. This game came down to the wire, but the Abilene Wildcats were able to hold on and win by one point.

Another upset in the West came from No. 13 Ohio University. The Bobcats came into the big dance against No. 4 Virginia and found success by winning 62-58 in a close game.

The Sweet Sixteen teams in the West and East regions have not been decided, unlike in the Midwest and South. So much is likely to change with more upsets and surprising wins to come as March Madness continues.
