The Last Chance to Win it All
Next week, all six houses will be competing in the last house competition of the year. At this competition, the houses will have one final opportunity to receive points in an attempt to win the beloved House Cup.
Throughout the year, the houses have fought their hardest to take the lead, but this year the race has ultimately come down to two houses, Caritas and Dignitas. Both have been close in points, everything comes down to this final competition.
“I think each House works had to earn the cup because it is a symbol of all the work they put in throughout the year. Everyone likes to be part of something successful and it is even more special when you can be inclusive and successful at the same time,” Assistant Principal of Student Life Mrs. Schuler said.
Caritas has led the houses in points the entire year and is trying to win the house cup for the second consecutive year, while Dignitas hopes to win it for the first time ever.
“Winning the house cup my senior year would mean a lot to me, because I have been part of House Dignitas since I was a freshman! To finish off my last year with winning the house cup would be amazing! The houses are all pretty close score wise so it’s anyone’s cup to win,” Dignitas HOH, Tory Pollard said.
Next week’s house competition will be action packed and St. Dominic is looking forward to crowning a new champion. This is no ordinary assembly though, it is the most important one of the year. Everything the houses have worked for, comes down to this.
