Every week, Crumbl Cookie has a new line up of speciality cookies for the week. This week’s line up featured the regulars Pink Sugar and Chocolate Chip. The special and limited edition flavors of the week featured, Cinnamon Roll, Cookies and Cream ft. Oreo, Wafer Cookie ft. KitKat, Strawberry Shortcake, and Brownie Batter. Each flavor is best served chilled from the freezer, however, this does make them lose the soft aspect to them, one of the things that makes the brand so popular.
Of this week’s round up, the best flavors to come of the limited edition were Strawberry Shortcake, Cookies and Cream ft. Oreo, and Brownie Batter. Each had its own unique qualities that made it different from the others in the pack.
The Strawberry Shortcake won the top flavor of the week for simply just being the most delicious of the bunch. The cookie base held a little bit more moisture compared to the other cookies in order to have the aspect that typical strawberry shortcakes have. The icing was a plain white frosting that was built up to hold the strawberry filling.
“The Strawberry Shortcake cookie was so delicious because the sweetness of the cookie was balanced by a light cream and a refreshing strawberry jam topping on the icing,” senior Marianne Vomund said.
With the Cookies and Cream cookie, it was not a giant replica of an Oreo. Instead, there was a chocolate base to the cookie that had a similar taste to the outer cookie parts of an Oreo. The icing on the cookie was the most preferable part to it as it was a cream cheese frosting mixed with bits of Oreo. Although not the top choice, it was one of the best of the week, offering one of the richest flavors of the bunch.
The Brownie Batter could very easily be mistaken for a freshly made bowl of actual brownie batter. The taste of it was exact, down to the consistency of the liquid that made up the filling inside the cookie. The taste almost gives off a feeling of nostalgia. It can remind the customer of the feeling of waiting in the kitchen for the brownies to come out while their aroma fills the house.
Sadly, for the Crumbl fans, the business does not do any sneak peeks or spoilers of the line up for weeks to come. However, what can be expected is the biggest and boldest cookies with the richest flavors. No other business is really doing it like Crumbl, so if visitors or even locals have a chance to go check it out, it is highly recommended that they walk out with a cookie or two.
