Number 5: Better seats at Mass
Kicking off the list, seniors have better seating at Mass. As a senior, you have access to sit in actual chairs instead of sitting in the bleachers, adding more room between you and the person sitting next to you, instead of sitting shoulder to shoulder in the bleachers.
Number 4: Better seats at Football games
As a Senior, you can sit up in the front row for a better view and to help lead chants. This is a nice feature to have because seniors can stand in the front row without having to worry about an obstructed view or trying to angle to see over other students. The football games are entertaining and being in the front row helps because you can witness that entertainment for yourself.
Number 3: An opportunity to run for Head of House or Peer Ministry
Seniors at Saint Dominic have the opportunity to run for Head of House or Peer Ministry. Being a Head of House means being a leader of one of the six houses, while trying to promote other people to get involved with all the activities, games, and events involving house points. Seniorscan also run for Peer Ministry. Peer Ministry is all about deepening and sharing a faith life with Jesus. Being part of Peer Ministry means running all the retreats, such as Kairos and senior retreats.
Number 2: Better parking
As a Senior, many are granted access to the senior lot and the spots by the mezzanine. These spots are very convenient to have to be much closer to the school and are much easier to leave from at the end of the day, instead of having a spot in the stadium lot or the tennis courts. Another nice thing about having a spot in the senior lot or the mezzanine is there is less traffic to worry about when leaving school.
Number 1: Senior privilege
At the top of the list is senior privilege. Seniors have the option to earn senior privilege by completing service hours and getting them approved. By getting service hours completed and approved, seniors can either leave early from school or can come into school late, depending on what hour they have their study hall. This is a great feature to have as a senior because if students have study hall first, they don’t have to worry about getting up as early in the morning and can sleep in, grab food, or get a drink from Starbucks without having a fear of getting a tardy slip because for being late to your first class. Overall, senior privilege is a fantastic feature to have as a senior.
