The Super Bowl is around the corner, and many great teams are vying for a spot in America’s biggest sports spectacle. With February 9th rapidly approaching, the competition couldn’t be more fierce.
First up on the schedule for January 18th is the Chiefs going against the Texans. The Texans will be coming off of a few strong wins against both the Titans and the Chargers. On the other side of things, the Chiefs are coming off a 38-0 game against the Broncos. While it may sound like a forgone conclusion based off the sides being stacked against each other, the game with the Chiefs featured very little amount of gameplay from starters, and shouldn’t be used as a way to dictate the game coming up against the Texans. With the Texans sitting at (10-7) and the Chiefs at (15-2) the game is sure to be quite a spectacle.
Later that same night at seven, the Commanders will go head to head against the Lions. Both teams are coming off wins leading into this game, and like the Chiefs, the Lions sit at a (15-2) win-loss record. The Commanders aren’t too far behind themselves sitting at a (12-5) win-loss. This game could be a close call, and we’re all holding our breath to see where this one will lead.
The following day, on January 19th, the Rams will head over to Philadelphia to face off against the Eagles. The Eagles will step into this game with a high expectation set for them at (14-3) and facing off against a team with a win-loss of (10-7). The Eagles have also made many statements over the season resulting in several dominant wins; it’s safe to say the Rams will have their work cut out for them this week.
Finally, the Ravens will head over to the Bills in the last playoff game of the 19th. The records are the closest of any other teams playing, as the Bills sit at (13-4) and the Ravens at (12-5). As is the case in all these games the teams with the highest win ratio will get home advantage.
“Josh Allen is the key here. He’s the best quarterback of our generation. He’s got the arms, he’s got the legs, he’s my boy,” senior Jack Vogler said.
Having so many great games and so many great teams playing this weekend no matter the outcomes, fans around the states are sure to be thrilled with the action ahead.
