Sundqvist returns to the STL Blues after stint with Minnesota

The St. Louis Blues have kicked off their preseason games, with their new additions. Swedish player Oskar Sundqvist, who is a familiar face for STL, is thrilled to be back in the Lou.

Last season, Oskar played for Minnesota Wild, after two years on the Detroit Red Wings. In his most recent season with Minnesota, Sunny injured his knee, but has bounced back with his preseason training.

Before these two teams, he played for the St. Louis Blues for six seasons. Sundqvist was a huge asset in winning the Blues first ever Stanley Cup in 2019.

In 2019, Sundqvist contributed nine points for the Blues during playoffs, leading to their first ever victory. Oskars size helps with his strength to win faceoffs, and battles on the boards where he generates goals from his wicked slap shot.

Before the Blues, Sunny played in the Stanley Cup playoffs in 2017, for the Pittsburgh Penguins, where he had four points and played 18 games. His playoff experience with the Blues was different from the rest, because he finally got his name on the cup.

With Sundqvist’s recent appearance in St. Louis, fans are ecstatic to see a returning player back home. The Blues hit the ice at the Enterprise Center playing eight preseason games. The team faced other teams where they worked together to show off their skills they have been working on, during the off season.

Returning player Oskar Sundqvist, has started strong with 21 faceoff wins and four game points, during this preseason. Sunny is currently playing center on the fourth line, along with Neighbours, and Toropchenko as his wingers.

With returning to St. Louis, Oskar has shown his love for this town by attending the new soccer team games. St. Louis City has given Oskar a warm welcome back. Sunny has not missed a game yet, and is known to be spotted taking pictures with locals. While wearing his customized City jersey, Oskar has been on the field alongside Jordan Bennington, St. Louis Blues All-Star goaltender.

Swedish player Oskar Sundqvist, is thrilled to be back, and feels as if it’s his second home. Sundqvist is a positive asset to the team and an overall fan favorite.

Love the headline! Very nicely-written column. Good history and enthusiasm for the return of a popular and significant player.
    Well done!
