Tennis is hard at work, improving their skills for season.

St Dominic Tennis is looking forward to their upcoming season as tryouts are just nearing an end. This week has been intense for these athletes competing for a spot on the team.

We are expected to see many new faces this season who are ready to try out this exciting sport. These athletes are looking forward to having fun as well as learning new techniques to improve their overall skill.

“I am looking forward to playing with Ryan Nero this season and I know it will be a lot of fun,” Vogler said.

As well as newcomers there are several returning players this year. Every player that was on the team last season has worked hard to increase their skills for the 2023 season.

“I’m looking forward to seeing who has improved over the last year and what the new players bring to the team.” Head Coach Noah Duncan said.

Coach Duncan is looking for max effort from his team this season. Last season wasn’t great but the team was still able to capture the AAA Conference title. This season that is the goal again for the team as well to improve on last season.

“I know each player from last year’s team is committed to making this year better and still having fun,” second year player Jack Duncan said.

The tennis team will start competing in a couple weeks as they play in a kickoff tournament at Francis Howell Central.
