Spirit week day-by-day ideas

St. Dominic shows off spirit day themes for next week.

Spirit week is a homecoming tradition in which students have a different theme every day to dress up. It’s a good way for students to grow closer together while still having fun. This year’s themes are as creative and fun as ever, but it can be hard to think of what to dress as. So, here are some ideas of what to wear during St. Dominic spirit week.

Monday: Soccer Mom vs. Suburban Dad

Soccer moms are supportive parents on the sideline, and are known for their fashion taste. They wear lulu lemon, cute jackets, and always have their hair pulled back into a tight ponytail. They always look neat and clean, unlike suburban dads. Suburban dads wear khaki shorts, oversized shirts, and sunglasses and hats. They are dressed for comfort and are always ready to take on a grill.

Tuesday: Twin/Triplet

Twin/triplet day is a great way to get together with friends and dress up together. Plan the same outfit with 1-2 of your friends. Wear the same color, type of clothing, hair, or just match everything all together!

Wednesday: Adam Sandler

Adam Sandler is known for his oversized, comfortable clothing. Drown yourself in big hoodies/shirts and sweatpants, and take this chance to relax and enjoy your day in comfortable clothing.

Thursday: Mass Day

Get out your cardigans and pick out your ties, Thursday is a mass day. Wear your mass clothes with a white polo and a cardigan for the girls. Boys wear white button downs, a tie and khaki pants.

Friday: Blue VS. White

Show your St. Dominic pride by wearing our school colors, blue and white! Freshmen and juniors wear blue and sophomores and seniors wear white. Go crazy and all out by wearing as much of your color as you can!

Spirit day is a great way for our St. Dominic community to grow closer, and we can’t wait to see what everyone wears. Remember to have fun next week and to go all out!
