The boys basketball program is on its way to glory for the third consecutive year

This past Friday, the St. Dominic men’s basketball team did it again. For the third year in a row, the varsity boys won the District championship. Not only was this a huge victory for the team, but they also managed to be the only team with such a high record of wins.

I was very proud of our entire team’s effort

— Coach Roberts

From the early Saturday morning practices to the late night games, this season has been a physical and mental grind. The countless hours the team has put in from the offseason to now has made it all worthwhile.

The basketball team demolished Hannibal High School in Districts with a score of 56 to 37. It was a total team effort from start to finish. Every single team member played and got the job done as a team.

“The game went well. We really jumped on them right away and sustained our lead throughout the game. I was very proud of our entire team’s effort,” head basketball coach Roberts said.

After such an exciting season, we are excited to see the boys back on the court this Saturday, March 12, as they take on Cardinal Ritter. The game will be held at 7:45 at Meramec Community College, so be sure to head out to support our Crusader!
