The latest schedule for marvel’s phase 4.

Since corona came along, many plans have been cancelled, and unfortunately, so have many movie premieres. While some studios have decided to release their movies on demand, others have cancelled altogether. Marvel Studios has decided to shift their entire phase four movie schedule, pushing everything back.

This new shift has affected five different Marvel Movies and pushed each of them back to a later date. It started with Black Widow, which was set to release May 1 and was pushed back to November 6. November 6 was originally the date set for the release of The Eternals, which has now been moved to February 12, 2021. This switch caused Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings to be moved to May 7, 2021. Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness was moved to November 5, 2021, and Thor: Love and Thunder was switched to February 18, 2022.

Many fans are not happy about the newest schedule, and are incredibly upset after counting down the days until the original premieres.

“When I heard that phase four was being pushed back because of the coronavirus, I was absolutely devastated. To me, these movies are the most anticipated movies of the year. Now I don’t know what to do with myself,” senior Bri Pulliam said.

Even with all the switches, some good has still come out of the newest Marvel announcement. When the studio originally announced phase 4, they had an untitled film slated for July 29, 2022. It has now been revealed that the untitled film is Captain Marvel 2, and that the release date would be pushed up to July 8, 2022.

While the situation was not ideal for Marvel fans, we have to look on the bright side. This now gives us something to look forward to in November and all the way up until July 8, 2022. While we all anxiously await the premiere of Black Widow, be sure to revisit all your favorite Marvel films during quarantine!
