With school winding down for the class of 2026, it brings one of the most exciting games that most seniors participate in. Senior Splashin. This is a much-anticipated event every year because of the fun it brings and the large cash prize the winner will receive.
Senior Splashin has a Hunger Games-style format. Be the last person standing in the end. This game is run through the very popular Splashin app. Each participant is assigned another person who is called their target. In order to move on to the next round, you must get your target out by shooting them with a water gun. If you get your target out, they will be out for good, and you then get their target. Goggles are a protective device in this game and if you are wearing them over your eyes, you can not be eliminated.
However, there are some limitations when it comes to Senior Splashin. Eliminations can not happen at school during the school hours, athletes participating in games or practices can not be eliminated, and you can not get out while at work or church as well.
The games are set to begin Friday, April 10th. As of right now, well over 200 participants are set to square off with their eyes on the prize. The game will continue till there is one person remaining. If the game is going slower then expected, there are also times in the game where you can get anyone out, no matter if they are your target or not. For some students, this is what they have been looking forward to all year. Senior Bree Moore is excited to play.
“I’ve been looking forward to Senior Splashin for a while now. I think it’s a fun last thing for all of the seniors to do together,” senior Bree Moore Said.
Most seniors have already started to strategize on how they are going to survive the longest and hopefully get a chance at the money prize. Some are making alliances with their classmates to give them a better chance at winning. Although Senior Promiss Dailey is doing a little bit of both.
“My strategy is to focus on staying in longer and not focusing on my target as much so I’m going to do that by keeping my goggles on at all times, and then I’m gonna be more laid back when it comes to getting my target, I’m also making an alliance with my brother so hopefully that helps,” Said Promiss Dailey.
Once again, the competition will start on Friday, April 10th. This will be going on for a while, as in years past, it has taken more than a month. Make sure to stay on the lookout for updates, and good luck to all of the seniors competing.
