Jared Goff and Sean McVay, one of the youngest QB-head coach duos in the NFL, will attempt to topple the dominant Drew Brees-Sean Payton duo down in the Superdome.

Both teams dominated the regular season, with high flying offenses piling points onto the board. When these two juggernauts met in Week 9, New Orleans prevailed with a 45-35 victory. Los Angeles is hungry for revenge and a trip to the Super Bowl, which is certainly easier said than done. Despite big names on defense, the Rams have struggled to stop offenses from moving down the field. Luckily for L.A., the Saints also have a shaky defense, so expect a shootout from the start in this one.

Prediction:

The Saints will use their home field advantage and strong front seven to stifle L.A.’s dual headed running attack to prevail 34-27, clinching a spot in Super Bowl LIII.

AFC Championship (5:40 CT, CBS)

Old faces meet the young guns in this matchup, with Tom Brady and Bill Belichick traveling to Arrowhead to take on Patty Mahomes and the high-flying Kansas City Chiefs.

After both teams easily dismantled their opponents in their divisional round games, this contest is a toss up. The Chiefs are the favorites, with home field advantage and future MVP Mahomes under center, but one can never count out New England. Tom Brady has been in the conference championship year after year, while Mahomes and the Chiefs are newcomers. The Patriots downed Kansas City in Week 6, 43-40 in Foxborough. This time around, the Pats will be forced to cope with their struggles on the road if they want to reach another Super Bowl.

Prediction:

Both teams have the superstars and the coaching, but what will be the deciding factor in this one? Two words: Arrowhead Stadium. The Patriots run out of their magic and finally fall victim to their shaky road play as Kansas City prevails with a 30-27 win and a ticket to Super Bowl LIII.
