Girls Lacrosse Shoots for Success
St. Dominic lacrosse is preparing for another successful season on the field. The girls are going to be a fun team to watch this year, with new coaches and a different outlook.
New coaches can be a good boost for players and bring different aspects to the team. Coach Lucas Duncan and Coach Alyssa Kochin are both excited to attack the season together.
“I think the new coaching staff will be great for the team. They will bring new knowledge of the game and more drills for us to work on,” Senior Midfield Rose Juergensmeyer said.
The players are excited because they feel they can bring different things to the field.
“I’m finally a senior and feel as if my skill as a player has evolved a lot in the off season. I am excited to show off my new skills and dominate on our offense,” Ava Forrest said.
Showing off new skills is necessary with a tough schedule this year. However new varsity head coach, Coach Duncan, is feeling confident in the team’s ability to come out on top.
“All of the teams are good and we have to be prepared for them, but Clayton is going to be a tough and exciting game,” Duncan said.
With the coaches and seniors stepping up it should be a great lacrosse season. Make sure to come support the girls with the first home game March 24th against Francis Howell central and the exciting game against Clayton on April 4th.
