St. Dominic hires new Varsity Baseball Head Coach Cie Arell.

The St. Dominic baseball season is just around the corner with tryouts underway this week. The varsity squad has a new head coach, Cie Arell. He has brought in fresh new goals and ambitions.

Coach Arell has great knowledge of the game and has impressive leadership aspects. He played professionally for three years. Then went on to be an internal video scout for the White Sox. Arell has many years of experience coaching high school baseball and will be a great addition to the program as he has a good eye for what a successful team should look like.

“My ambition for the beginning of the season is to have the kids fall in love with the game of baseball. I want the boys to become high level thinkers in the game of baseball and to teach them to have a high baseball IQ,” Coach Arell said.

The players are also excited to start the season with their new coaching staff. They are ready for training, games, and practices to begin.

“Coach Arell has experience at a high level of baseball, playing, coaching, and scouting. I am pumped to see our success this year under him,” Junior Cooper Smith said.

Players and coaches are anxiously awaiting the season to begin. It should be a great season for our St. Dominic baseball as the team gets underway on St. Patrick’s Day in the SCW Tournament.
