Seasonal Sweets: Dominic’s Favorite Desserts
Along with the family gatherings, music and presents, the holidays also bring excitement for the delicious treats. No Christmas dinner is complete without a festive dessert. As Christmas nears, students and faculty from St. Dominic share their favorite holiday goodies.
S’mores Pie:
Freshman Gavin Young’s special dessert is his S’mores Pie. Young received this tasty recipe from his sister-in-law.
“This recipe will be a favorite for many people and puts a twist to the traditional s’more,” said Young.

“I started making it with my daughter when she was a little girl. The cookie cutter for the gingerbread men was made by my dad for me when I was a little girl. So now I do it with my grandsons. They roll and they decorate the gingerbread men,” said Mrs. Fridley.
Mrs. Fridley loves this annual Christmas tradition and hopes to keep it going for many years to come.
