One of the best fall-time activities is going to near-by pumpkin patches. Whether it be with friends or family, there’s no doubt these patches become a hot spot this time of year. Although there aren’t many farms in O’fallon, there are plenty of pumpkin patches in surrounding areas.

- Pumpkin Galore
Pumpkin Galore is located in Warren County, and is one of the closest patches to St. Dominic. It is a fan favorite and an annual tradition for many as the patch has been around for over 35 years. The popular spot includes a tricky corn maze and numerous farm animals including horses and goats. If you’re feeling it, there’s even an opportunity to take a ride on their horses.
- Thies Farm
Right across the river lies Thies Farm and Market. Although they are open for numerous seasons throughout the year, they open Pumpkinland during the fall. Pumpkinland not only includes pumpkins but also a corn maze, tractor rides, tunnels, and swings. This patch is super family friendly, and will definitely bring out your fun side. Additionally, their market includes numerous vegetable and homemade products including jams, biscuits, and more!
- Eagle Fork Farms
Located in Lincoln County, Eagle Fork Farms grows a nearly perfect pumpkin patch. This farm has a wide variety of pumpkins and activities including gemstone mining, corn mazes, and pony rides. Furthermore, Eagle Fork Farms is a fantastic place for fall photo opportunities as they set up many decorated backdrops.
- Eckert’s Farm
While Eckert’s Farm has multiple locations, the best is located in Grafton, Illinois. Although this might sound like a far drive, the farm is only a road-trip away. At Eckert’s their pumpkins are available to pick until the 27th of October, but the celebration lasts longer. Eckert’s celebrates the season by hosting their annual pumpkin jamboree which is one of the best fall events in the area. Make sure to get tickets soon, as the pumpkin jamboree includes fall treats, picking pumpkins, and a petting zoo, but is sure to sell out!
- Daniel’s Farm and Greenhouse
Located in St. Peter’s, Daniel’s Farm and Greenhouse is home to a wide variety of not only pumpkins, but also gourds and other plants. Daniel’s is specifically known for their beautiful mums, a flower that is perfect for the fall season. Although the pumpkin patch has been open for a week, many individuals have already taken advantage of Daniel’s Farms’ low prices. If you are looking for fall flowers, pumpkins, and decorations this is the place for you.
