Top 10 Best Dressed at the Grammys
Sunday February fifth was the 64th annual Grammy awards. Many famous celebrities attended this fabulous event. Some showed up in memorable style, while others did the complete opposite. This was a time to dress up and get fancy and most celebrities did not disappoint.
I judged many outfits that made it to the red carpet. I loved the outfits that held creativity, elegance and just stood out overall.
- Jessy Wilson, an American singer, came in tenth place. Her look was a crisp white jumpsuit with diamond and star cutouts. This really stood out because it complemented her so well, and you don’t often see girls in jumpsuits which made it more pleasing for viewers to see something so unique.
- Coco James, a singer and actress, showed up in a stunning dress. Her gown was completely gold, matching the trophy color.
- Kelsea Ballerini, a country singer, took glamor into a whole new perspective. Her dress was a sunny yellow color, but the design had many different elements to it. The mermaid styled dress was lined with golden sequins and had different shape cutouts. I thought it was very unique and lit up the red carpet.
- Måneskin, a rock band, showed up in such a unique style. The group of four all had outfits that complemented each other. The three guys rocked suites, giving a 70s vibe. And Victoria De Angelia, the only girl in the band, complimented the guys with a cute gold dress.
- Jack Harlow, a rapper, had a sleek tan suit. It is hard to judge the guys because most of them show up in a boring tuxedo, but Harlow’s was different. He looked very elegant and put it together on the red carpet.
- Beyoncé, American singer-songwriter, did not disappoint. Not only did she win three Grammys and break the record for most Grammys won, but she did it in style. Her outfit was absolutely top tier. She had a blush pink dress with golden accents. Her hat was the part that really stood out because it resembled the opening of a gramophone player, which is absolutely perfect.
- Alisha Gaddis, actress, had a dress completely covered with flowers. I thought her dress was so creative, she looked like a walking bouquet. The combination of red, pink, yellow and a touch of blue was stunning on her.
- Jennifer Lopez’s dress is one of those dresses you see and say “ooooh” because it was just so perfect. Her dress was navy blue but it had a long ruffled train. The Gucci dress also had silver chains for the sleeves, and ran all the way down her body. She also matched it perfectly with a silver chain clutch
- Cardi B, my second place choice, wore her Gaurav Gupta Couture dress with confidence. Her Royal blue dress played with shapes, as part of it came over her head, almost reminiscent of running water. Her dress also has a log train, made of silky fabric
- Lizzo did not disappoint as she was my favorite of the night. Her stunning, tangerine dress included silver lining going down the top. She wore a cooler toned orange flower cape over her dress and each flower had its own shape. They even included a hood that she wore for a little bit while she was on the red carpet. Her dress just seemed so perfect for the night, but she did eventually change into a silver dress with big puff sleeves, and her shoes were silver with a flower on top of it.
As there are many beautiful dresses and suits on the red carpet, these are the ones that stood out to me the most. It is hard to describe each of the dresses, but I assure you that they are the best that was out there.
