Top 5 on Theme at the Met Gala

HELLO!

Blake Lively attends the Met Gala with two stunning dresses.

The 2022 Met Gala brings light into the Gilded Age. This year’s theme was a hit and miss from many celebrities that attended. Gilded Age fashion is very elegant and dignified, and can almost remind you of the big ball gowns and flashy conservative outfits royals from Britain would wear in the 1850s.

  1. Nicola Coughlam

Coughlam, from the Gilded Age herself (Brigerton Actress) showed up to the Gala as the definition of glamorous. Her look was pink and black with feathers floating around her. She truly made being a Featherington come to life.

  1. Kendall Jenner

Jenner took Gilded Glamour to the next level. Her chic black two-piece from Prada took over the red carpet. Her skirt embodied the fashion era with her variety of fabrics and ruffly patterns.

  1. Dove Cameron

Cameron’s look was different from the rest, but the background of the dress made it so much more fitting. Her dress from Iris Van Herpen was made to symbolize the bone structure of the dresses in the Gilded age. The dress was said to be inspired by the rise of technology that affected fashion later on.

  1. Sabrina Carpenter

Carpenter’s debut kicked off the first of many stunning dresses. Her gold two piece shimmered on the red carpet. Although it is untraditional, her dress was inspired by the gold rush, which occurred  during the Gilded Age.

1.Blake Lively

Lively always shows up to the Gala on point. She never disappoints as her dress fits every aspect of the Gilded Age. She even pulled off two different outfits- that defines grace and elegance. Both Versace dresses were beautifully made with delicate details, and she was the embodiment of the theme.

The Met Gala is one of the most fashionable events of the year for celebrities all around. Many celebrities hit the theme and leave the audience with their jaws dropped, while some cause fans to cringe with horror. Anna Wintour, the editor-in-chief of Vogue magazine, really knows how to pick a theme and bring it to life.
