Go Go Gamers

At St. Dominic, the use of our iPads is highly beneficial in the classroom, but when students have free time, they love to play games.

One of the most popular games among the students here at St. Dominic is the new Mario Kart app. There is no doubt why this one is such a hit. Students are used to having to wait a whole day to go home and play on our Wii, but now with the mobile app, we have the exciting twists and turns of the famous courses right at our fingertips! Although the screen has to be vertical in order to play, we still have fun with it.

Fortnite is a game that has been around for a little bit now, but the game keeps getting better and better. All the new updates like having a map that doesn’t tell where other players are keep users on their toes and always interested. In addition, playing with your friends in “squads” or “duos” is something that will almost always make the game more enjoyable.

“I love being able to play with my friends, it’s something that I can always count on to give me a little stress reliever,” junior Lydia Cornett said.

Call of Duty mobile just came out not too long ago, and everyone is loving it. Being able to play on PlayStation and Xbox is still fun as ever, and the new iPhone version allows players to sharpen their skills wherever they are. Call of Duty mobile also gives the easy option to play with friends, just like the PlayStation and Xbox version.

With all of these new trendy games, it can be easy to lose focus on schoolwork, but if you always remember to keep straight the time to study and play, school can be both beneficial and fun.
