Garth Brooks Stadium Tour
This Saturday, country singer Garth Brooks will kick off his stadium tour right here in STL. The concert will take place at the Dome at America’s Center at 7 p.m.
Brooks’s concert sold out in record fashion, selling over 70,000 tickets in one day. With tickets selling out in mere hours and the anticipated arrival of one of country music’s biggest stars, it is safe to say everyone is beyond excited.
“His songs are so diverse. I love the way he can slow down and sing an incredibly meaningful song like ‘If Tomorrow Never Comes.’ He also never fails to get my blood pumping with songs like ‘Rodeo.’ Growing up in a family full of country music fans, I was kind of predestined to love his music. I blame it all on my roots,” senior Nick Bone said.
Not only is Brooks performing in St. Louis, but his wife, Trisha Yearwood, is putting on a tailgate show before the main event. Located across the street from the Dome, you can buy a ticket for $95, which includes entry, unlimited food and two drink tickets. The party lasts from 2-5, so there is plenty of time to enjoy the event and get pumped up to see the concert.
Brooks is famous for hits such as ‘Friends in Low Places’ and ‘The Thunder Rolls.’ Not only will he sing your favorite country songs, but he is known for being a top entertainer. Brooks is constantly moving, keeping the energy up and keeping the crowd pumped. With all of these combined, it is sure to be a great show.
“My favorite Garth song is ‘Friends In Low Places’ because it is just such a classic that everyone knows and it really brings everybody together whenever and wherever it’s played!” swim coach Rachel Imming said.
Fans young and old are thrilled to see one of country music’s best performers this Saturday. The stadium is sure to be filled to the brim with excited fans who have anticipated this day for months. We hope any St. Dominic students who attend have a safe and exciting experience, with memories to last a lifetime.
