Kylie Jenner had the most liked Instagram picture of all time with 18 million likes on a picture of her newborn daughter Stormi. That is, until an anonymous user posted a picture of a plain brown egg in an attempt to beat Kylie at her own game.

On January 4, an Instagram account named world_record_egg posted a picture with the caption, “Let’s set a world record together and get the most liked post on Instagram. Beating the current world record held by Kylie Jenner (18 million)! We got this!”

The egg now has over 45 million likes, two million comments and seven million followers. The user remains anonymous and seems to want to keep it that way. However, they are staying active even after they beat the record.

World_record_egg is calling their followers the “egg gang” and has even created a merch line for people that want to show support and keep the joke going. They continue to post memes and pictures that other accounts have made for them on their Instagram story.

Kylie Jenner’s response was pretty incredible. She posted a video on Instagram of her frying an egg on the hot ground with the caption, “Take that little egg.” She was joking and laughing in the video, which proves she thinks it is funny as well.
