St. Charles Is Getting Spooky

Historic St. Charles Main Street is one of the cutest places to visit all year round, but this month the city is transforming the streets to make it all sorts of spooky.

Some may be familiar with Christmas Traditions, a festival Historic St. Charles has every holiday season. For the spooky season comes Legends and Lanterns. Taking their inspiration from the past of the 1910s to 1930s, this event brings characters prowling around the streets giving their visitors thrills and chills every weekend starting October 20. Legends and Lanterns allows people of all ages to have fun as the ghouls and spirits come back to visit and tell ghost stories in preparation for All Hallow’s Eve. This festival will feature scarecrows, hayrides and of course — the “spirit”-ed guests! This event will end on October 28, so don’t miss out!

This next event will be sure to put you in the Halloween spirit as it illuminates the already beautiful Main Street. Pumpkin Glow in Historic St. Charles is the perfect autumn activity to enjoy with friends and family. Jack-o’-lanterns will line Main Street from start to finish the weekend of October 26 and 27. Another great part of this event is that many stores will be offering amazing discounts for those shopping that weekend. Make sure to take advantage of this great opportunity for fun and of course — pictures!

These are just a few of the exciting things happening in the area, so make sure you take advantage of them and have a great Halloween season this year!
