Prompare

Prom is only a week away, so hopefully all you ladies have your dresses! Now it’s time to decide on everything else. Don’t forget the small details can be just as important as the dress itself.

Hair

The answer on deciding how to wear your hair lies in the neckline.

If you have a sweetheart neckline, wear your hair all down.
If you have a V-Neck, try a half-up style. With this one, you can include a lot of different braids and curls to get the exact style you were hoping for.
If you have a one-shoulder dress, give a side pony or side sweep style a try. This will allow everyone to see the dress in its entirety.
If you have a high collar, pull all your hair back. You could either do this in a high pony or an updo. With this hairstyle there are also a lot of ways to personalize it and make the style unique.

Shoes

Depending on your dress, your shoes may not even matter! Since the dresses at prom are typically long and reach the floor, your shoes probably won’t even be seen. This is a blessing because you finally don’t have to drop extra cash on shoes you only wear for pictures, and then kick off as soon as you step onto the dance floor. Just find a comfortable pair of heels that are easy to walk in.

However, if your dress has a slit, then there’s a higher chance your shoes will be seen. There’s still no reason to drop a lot of money simply on shoes though. After three or four years worth of school dances, one of your friends is bound to have a pair of heels that will work.

Makeup

Whether you do your own makeup, have a friend help you out, or get it done professionally, it’s good to know what colors compliment you.

Brown eyes: browns, greens, purples, silvers and golds
