Soccer Boys Prepare for Playoffs
The boys’ soccer team just wrapped up the last few games of their season, finishing 16-7. They picked up some big wins against Fort Zumwalt South, Borgia and Duchesne, but lost 1-0 in their final game of the season on Tuesday, October 17 against Westminster. Heartbreaking losses in close matches have only made them stronger and more prepared to take on tougher opponents.
“I’m very confident that our team is prepared for the postseason. I think finally beating a big MCC school like DeSmet has given us the confidence and the mindset that we can beat anybody,” said senior Max Sengl.
They will play Warrenton in the district quarterfinals at home on October 23. Make sure to come out and support our soccer boys.
