Ms. Cathy Fetter may have wrapped up her time here at St. Dominic, but her name will live on to inspire students and faculty alike in the Cathy Fetter Connecting Commons.

Mrs. Cindy Johnson, the Director of Advancement here at St. Dominic, has recently been leading a small team working to build the Cathy Fetter Connecting Commons just outside the connector.

Although not entirely finished, the transformation looks incredible. Ms. Fetter always envisioned the space as something for everyone to use, whether it is celebrating school events or working on group projects. Rumor has it, movie nights might also take place thanks to the lights underneath each level of the commons.

An important part of Ms. Fetter’s mission is to help students remember the school’s history. Putting her name to the commons will surely help her mission prevail.

“Cathy was so instrumental teaching us about the history of the school, wanting to connect us to the past while also helping us move to the future,” said Mrs. Johnson.

In addition to the Connecting Commons, a plaque addressing Ms. Fetter will be placed in the connector of St. Dominic. The grand opening has not been announced, so stay tuned to when you can use the Cathy Fetter Connecting Commons!
