Tennis Finds Success in Post Season
After working hard throughout the regular season, the tennis team’s effort is paying off. On May 12, the boys competed in the individual district championship, where they pulled off a clean sweep in their matches.
Sophomore Derek Fesser won the singles tournament, upsetting the number one seeded player. Sophomores Josh Miller and Nate Heiligenstein showed off their skills by taking home first place in doubles.
“The district tournament was fun for all the guys. I was prepared to win, and I wasn’t nervous. I am satisfied with how I played, but there is always room for improvement,” said Miller.
Coach Noah Duncan is very proud of his team this year for their amazing results.
“Our goal this year going into the postseason was to win our conference and to win our district, and we accomplished both of those. We were also able to perform at a very high level on the individual districts, so I’m extremely happy with this year,” said Coach Duncan.
The boys’ tennis team has certainly performed well this year, and we congratulate them for their stellar season!
