Survival of the Fittest: Hollywood’s Strongest Couples

Having a lasting relationship in everyday life is hard enough, but if you factor in the added stress of being a couple in Hollywood it seems almost impossible. Many couples have beat the odds and stayed together in their time of fame. Here are some of the strongest couples that have survived Hollywood together.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds

The pair began as co-stars for the film, Green Lantern. They were both in relationships while they were filming, but those relationships eventually ended and the two grew closer. They began dating in late 2011 and after only one year, the couple snuck off to South Carolina to get married. The couple has remained extremely private during their relationship. They had their first child in 2014, but not even Gossip Girl could snap a picture of their baby girl, James. The couple announced the birth of  James one year later, in 2015. Two years after the arrival of their first daughter, they announced that they were expecting their second child. They welcomed their second daughter, Ines to the family. In December of 2016, the family made their first public debut. Privacy has surely been one of the biggest keys of success to their relationship. In the public eye or not, this pair is cute beyond compare!

Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard

Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard are no doubt one of Hollywood’s cutest couples. The pair began dating in 2007 and have not looked back since. Despite their differences and hardships, they work everyday to make their relationship work. The couple has not been shy when admitting that they attend therapy. They believe that to make a relationship successful, you must put in the work. After an engagement in 2009 and a marriage in 2013, the couple has been happily married and have one daughter together. The love between them is undeniably present and being in the public eye has not made that love waver one bit.

Mark Wahlberg and Rhea Durham

This couple decided to tie the knot in 2009 and have been together ever since. Wahlberg is not shy when talking about his faith. He often shares the importance of his faith in his everyday life and how much it means to him. Before their marriage in 2009, Durham decided to convert to Catholicism. After eight years of being married in Hollywood, the couple has remained strong in their faith and in their love.

Victoria Beckham and David Beckham

The Beckham’s have been together for almost 20 years and still have a relationship strong as concrete. In an interview with Us Weekly, David claimed that marriage with Victoria was “pretty easy.” Time has definitely helped the couple get through the scrutiny of Hollywood. Knowing each other over the course of so many years has allowed for their trust and judgement of one another to build. Throughout their 18 years of marriage they have added four children to their family. One of the things they find very important is protecting their kids from the harsh criticism of the public eye, especially on social media. Even after four kids and 18 years together, the couple is as strong as can be!

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith have had their fair share of struggles during their time as a married couple. The pair got married in 1997 and the family has since grown by three. Multiple speculations and rumors have circled concerning the status and strength of their relationship. Despite the accusations and rumors of a divorce between the two, they have continued to stay strong in their marriage. Hollywood may have brought challenges upon the couple, but they have pushed through and are here to stay.

Many relationships come and go through the red carpet, but some couples are strong enough to make it through Hollywood together. Whether it’s staying out of the public eye, trusting in each other wholly or just relying on each other’s love to make it through, every couple that has survived Hollywood has found what works best for them.
