They Aren’t Just Putting Around

The men’s golf team is preparing for the season to be a hit. With new and experienced players, they are ready to drive towards a championship under the guidance of Coach Dan Matusiak.

The team has to put a lot of effort in before the season is underway in order to prepare for their tough schedule. With a lot of competition lined up, they will have to practice hard and hit the ball harder. All of this is possible with practice every day after school and the team community they all share.

“The team is looking solid this year but we still have a lot of work to do if we want to achieve our goals,” said senior Keaton Purdy.

The team’s high goals are optimistic, but if they want to begin the season strong they will have to work together and stay consistent in their scores.

“We have some people who can post pretty good scores, we just have to be able to play good all at the same time during the matches,” said junior Paul Schneider.

The team has a lot of young players that the coaching staff and veteran players believe can change the tide of the season and bring them to the next level.

“I think the team has great potential especially the younger members and hopefully we will be able to do great things out on the line this season,” said senior Jimmy Peanick.

The Crusader golf team will begin their season on March 20 against Warrenton. Crusader Nation wishes them the best of luck.
