Senior Night: A Surreal Moment
With the season coming to a close and districts right around the corner, St. Dominic basketball teams are coming together to recognize our beloved seniors. These players have given so much time and effort, so senior night is a way to give back to them for their four years of dedication.
Wednesday the 15th was the girls’ senior night where they recognized six seniors: Madeline Bauer, Helen Wilmes, Abby Hermann, Mikah Bange, Emma Siemen and Katelyn Isaac. Leading the team to a 15-9 record, the girls are giving their all in their final season.
“I am sad because I don’t want it to happen and it be over, but I think its a nice thing to honor the seniors and celebrate their four years,” said Isaac.
The girls’ senior night helped to propel them to a AAA championship, now the guys will look to grab some momentum from their senior night this Friday the 24th. With the season dragging on, the boys are looking to clean up their game before districts. Senior night is the perfect way to do that. The guys’ team has seven seniors graduating this year who will be celebrated. Those seniors are Jack Klopstein, Jeff Geismann, J.P Haring, Gary Vomund, Tyler Johnson, Jared North and Quinn Strother.
“It is a nice night to celebrate our four years. It recognizes all of our blood, sweat and tears we have given in our time playing,” said Vomund.
Come out and support the teams and the seniors who will surely be missed.
