Sing:

The animated movie Sing is sure to leave you singing in your seat. It is packed with jaw-dropping parodies of hit songs by a range of artists including Jennifer Hudson, Tori Kelly and Taron Egerton. Sing follows five ordinary animal citizens competing in a live singing competition hosted by Buster Moon, a koala voiced by Matthew McConaughey, to save his failing theater. Plenty of comedy is sprinkled throughout the movie alongside the relatable struggles of the contestants and Buster Moon. Despite being a kid appropriate movie, Sing is entertaining for all ages and is a must see this January.

Houseparty App:

Facetime now has competition with a popular new app, Houseparty. The app allows you to host or join a group video chat with up to eight people. Featuring basic options, Houseparty makes it easy to find friends and it even sends notifications when your friends have joined a party. While the app boasts many advantages, it still holds a few issues. One being that there are no private parties, anyone can join in unexpectedly. Additionally, some users have complained about the app frequently crashing or suddenly losing sound. Even with its issues, Houseparty has the potential to take a spot next to apps like Snapchat and Instagram.
