Freeform’s “25 Days of Christmas” is a well-known event among many. A necessity to some, the month is packed with all of the originals, as well as the trademark Hallmark Christmas films. With fan favorites ranging from Elf to Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer to A Christmas Vacation, the program is full of ways to find your inner Christmas spirit.

“The ’25 days of Christmas’ is what gets me in that holiday spirit. I love watching Christmas movies with my family because it’s something we’ve always done. Our family favorite is The Year Without A Santa Claus,” said senior Lauren Basse.

“My favorite movies by far are National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation and Elf. Both are seriously so fun to sit down and watch and always make me laugh. Those are just a couple of my family’s favorite movies,” said senior Amber Wamhoff.

Movies are a big aspect of what makes Christmastime so special. They can act as a way to bring families together and lift up one another’s spirits.

“Every year, my family and I always walk through the Fort Zumwalt Park lights and come home and watch Elf. We really like the ’25 Days of Christmas’ because it’s a way for our family to get into the holiday spirit as it gets closer and closer to Christmas!” said senior Lexi Browning.

High school is said to be a time for growing up. However, the reason this event is so special is because it gives each person who watches the chance to feel like a little kid again.

“Christmas is my favorite holiday, so I enjoy the different movies about it and Santa. My favorite movies are The Santa Clause series, A Christmas Carol, Charlie Brown and How the Grinch Stole Christmas. They all make me feel like a little kid again,” said senior Tyler Johnson.

Whether you may or may not watch the movies, Freeform’s “25 Days of Christmas” marathon is definitely one to partake in. After all, it’s the most wonderful time of the year.
