LouFest:

During the weekend of September 10 and 11, many musical artists from near and far traveled to perform at LouFest, a music festival held at Forest Park. Amazing weather called for some amazing nights of performances. Loyal fans did not even mind the muddy grounds from the previous week’s storms. Many St. Dominic students attended LouFest this year.

“Anderson .Paak was definetly my favorite performance. He is an up and coming rapper and he really interacted with the crowd and he’s the only person I saw that got an encour,” said senior Brady Young.

With other amazing performances from Vince Staples, NAWAS and many others, it was a guaranteed great festival. If you were not able to go this year, make sure to buy your tickets for next year’s Loufest!

Rendezvous:image

In the heart of Main Street O’Fallon sits a little obscure cafe called Rendezvous. If you are tired of the traditional study sessions at Panera, Rendezvous is a great alternative. Free WiFi matched with sweet-smelling coffee and cafe cuisines makes Rendezvous one of O’Fallon’s greatest hidden treasures. You will also find friendly staff and amazing customer service. The cafe has live music every Saturday night as well. My recommendation when ordering from Rendezvous is the White Chocolate Mocha and their gooey butter cake (you will need to call ahead on the cake– they are in high demand). Prices are also similar to Panera’s, so it is an affordable treat!

iPhone 7:image

There is plenty of hot gossip of the newly released iPhone 7. Seniors, if you haven’t taken any senior pictures yet, find someone with the newest iPhone. The dual camera and new editing tools makes for the highest quality photos available in a cellular device. Unfortunately, the new Apple phone is missing the headphone jack. This is the worst renovation Apple could make to the new phone. It will be difficult for many iPhone 7 users to not lose the new bluetooth headphones– they may already have enough trouble keeping track of the ancient corded ones. In response, users are forced to buy yet another product: the lightning AUX cord adapter. This allows users to listen to music in their cars. Although the headphone jack is no more, the iPhone 7 has modifications guaranteed to please users.
