In Loving Memory of Diane Tucci
The entire St. Dominic community gathered outside the front of school on November 4 to dedicate a newly planted dogwood tree to our beloved and missed English teacher, Diane Tucci. During her time at St. Dominic, she impacted countless lives with her positive attitude and compassionate heart.
Along with the rest of the school, Ms. Tucci’s family attended the dedication ceremony, which was lead by Mrs. Eaton and Father Jerry Meier. Both briefly spoke about Ms. Tucci’s life and the impact she left on so many people. Students read petitions and passages from the Bible. A plaque was placed under the tree by Ms. Tucci’s family and the ceremony concluded with a balloon release. Ms. Tucci was loved by many and it was evident by the amount of people at the ceremony.
“Her words of cultivating kindness are really what she lived out every day here. She would do anything for anyone. There are so many things that we will all remember her by. I feel that there is an importance of not letting go of everything she brought to this school,” said principal Mrs. Eaton.
The tree standing outside of the chapel is a constant reminder of Ms. Tucci’s inspiring faith. She began every morning by praying in the chapel. Each day, students, teachers and faculty will pass by the tree and will be reminded of the memories Ms. Tucci left behind.
