“Hello” by Adele

“Hello, it’s me,” are the first lyrics of Adele’s new soulful hit “Hello,” announcing to the world that she is back in the music business.  Adele fell off the radar of the the public eye after she released 21 in 2011; however, she is making a comeback with her new album 25.

When she was 21 years old, Adele felt sad and alone, so she wrote her second album about heartbreak and losses in life. After recovering from her heartbreak, Adele wrote 25 to give off the feelings of nostalgia — missing what she once had in life. Her intention was not to duplicate 21, because she does not feel heartbroken anymore. The album features songs such as “I Miss You” and “When We Were Young,” titles of which scream the past.

“‘Hello’ is about wanting to be at home and wanting to reach out to everyone I’ve ever hurt – including myself – and apologize for it,” said Adele in her interview with Hattie Collins.

Despite the high expectations Adele has set for herself, she still continues to impress me. She relates to people of all ages with her powerful songs and “Hello” is no exception. This latest song will be remembered for its raw lyrics and sentimental message for years to come. In relation to other pop hits, this song is a 9/10. This album will hopefully bring Adele back to her listeners with a bang.

Trivia Crack is Coming Back

The hit game that took over the St. Dominic community is coming back! Trivia Crack, a game that requires wit, intelligence and speed, catches the attention of both students and teachers at St. Dominic.

For those who do not know, Trivia Crack is an electronic game that tests your knowledge in the subjects of history, science, entertainment, geography, art and sports. Players spin a colorful wheel to decide which category they will answer. After they answer three questions correctly, they have a chance to win a crown. The first player to receive a crown in every category wins the game.

Trivia Crack unites friends through the competitive spirit of competition and provides players with fun learning opportunities. This entertaining game receives an 8/10 for its easy play and fun facts. I would highly recommend downloading this addicting game.

New Girl

The Fox hit show New Girl tells the story of Jess Day, played by Zooey Deschanel, and her crazy, offbeat life in L.A. It is a refreshing comedy with lively and relatable characters that creates an exciting show for viewers to enjoy.

New Girl is considered simple and extremely comical, with little drama. The producers created a show that is easy to watch and laugh along with.

“It’s so relatable and it’s funny,” said Kailee Queener. “My favorite Friday night binge!”

Although this show is funny, its lack of a meaningful message earns it a 7/10. But if you’re just looking for a good laugh, New Girl would be a good TV series to binge watch on Netflix.
