Miranda Sings

Miranda Sings is a comical, over-the-top depiction of a singer who shows off her voice on YouTube. Miranda Sings is a character created by Colleen Ballinger Evans. This eccentric singing sensation creates her own music videos, tutorials, and pop culture commentary. Her hysterical voice is considered by some to be a revival of the voice of the ’90s favorite nanny, Fran Fine. Many people know the face and the voice of Miranda Sings from her newly released book, Selp-Helf, which was published this past summer. Check out her YouTube channels, Miranda Sings or “Mirandavlogs.”

NBC’s latest show, Blind Spot, has viewers anticipating every Monday night’s episode. The show follows a young woman, played by Jamie Alexander, who was found in a duffel bag in the middle of Times Square– unknowing of her identity. The only clues to where she came from are the tattoos that cover her body. One tattoo in particular connects her to Special Agent Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton), who eventually realizes they were childhood neighbors, until Jane Doe mysteriously went missing and was presumed dead. The show thrills the audience every week, while the tattoos’ stories unfold, and memories of Jane’s life and the person behind the scheme becomes clearer after each episode.

The classic video game stick figure is out on the green. With tons of courses to choose from, power-ups to use and friends to play with on multi-player mode, many students are addicted.

“Stickman golf is a great game that really challenges your skill and touch on the iPad,” said junior Tyler Johnson.

The fun doesn’t end there– Flappy Bird has resurrected to play his own version of the game, “Flappy Golf.” Stickman and Flappy Bird’s versions of the game are popular among students. But of course, students are not playing these games in class.
