It’s that time of year again, where St. Dominic hosts their annual tuition raffle. This is a great opportunity for family members and friends to help their students free tuition.
One of the most asked questions about the tutions raffle, is what happens if a senior student wins? Well in that case they will be given their tuition for the past year back in their bank accounts!
“This is such a great opportunity to help parents a lot financially, and it helps out our financial aid program greatly,” President Jim Welby said.
This is a time to bring in all the friends and family around to help donate and buy a ticket into the raffle. Winning students will win free tuition for a year. Each ticket is one hundred dollars. If you buy three tickets you get one more for free.
“I think this is a great opportunity for parents to not have to worry about paying for their child’s tuition,” Literature teacher Ms. Robbins said.
The tuition raffle is a tradition that started six years ago. The admin noticed that other schools were hosting this raffle, so they thought it would be a great idea to do this as well.
“We believe that every student should have a chance to attend St. Dominic and if the tuition raffle can help, then we are all for it,” Mr.Welby said.
During this raffle, there are no limits on who can purchase a ticket. However, when tickets went on sale they were first come first serve. This includes faculty, staff, administrators, supporters, volunteers, grandparents, and of course parents. Additionally, all entries must be eighteen years or older.
Ticket purchasing ends April 13th at 11:59pm and winners will be drawn on April 14th. Good luck and buy those tickets!
