It can be difficult to plan what to do over Thanksgiving break. That is why it is important to find out what others are doing and gain inspiration from their plans.
“My favorite thing to do over Thanksgiving break is eating dinner with my family and watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving day parade every year”, junior Morgan Prudlow said.
Several people plan to eat dinner with their families for Thanksgiving, but there are many other fun traditions and things to do over the long break. Other things to do over break include watching a football game, going to the theaters to see a new movie, watching any of the several Thanksgiving parades, and the Turkey Trot 5k.
“I am going skydiving over Thanksgiving break with my sisters to celebrate the holidays,” senior Henry Bross said.
However, there are many things to do over break that are not Thanksgiving themed. These things include going to Six Flags, shopping, and spending time with family and friends. Also, thanks to Bishop Rozanski, St. Dominic will have Wednesday off of school, leaving students to have to plan what to do with the extra time off.
“I plan to catch up on school work and sleep a ton on the Bishop’s day off and over break,” junior Katarina Magill said.
While this extended break leaves tons of room for excitement for the holidays, it can also bring stress for the upcoming exams, tests, and grades as St. dominic finishes up the semester. Although it is important to keep up with grades and school work, it is also important to take time away from school and enjoy the break.
“I am going to my volleyball practice over break after I eat dinner with my family”, junior Tim Ray said.
Thanksgiving is a great time to catch up with family, grades, friends and a good meal. Many ways to do this include watching the parade, watching a new movie, and shopping.
