This year a new holiday spectacular is coming to O’Fallon that is sure to become a hit. Jingle, a Christmas festival, travels to a new location around Missouri each year. This season, Jingle is hosting their lively festival at Carshield Field.
Many students jumped at the opportunity to work at Jingle. If you are looking for a fun, fast paced seasonal job this is the one for you. While the festival might not last long, St. Dominic students made sure to take advantage of the opportunity.
“I’m very excited to be able to work with my brother, before I have to leave for college as well as be able to work with my friends,” senior Amelia Reeves said.
While Jingle will bring a huge amount of spirit and joy to the area, it also brings an aspect of fun. The festival includes a large snow tubing ramp built with real snow and an ice skating trail. For those that prefer to avoid the snow and ice, there is also a holiday light path, open for individuals to walk through.
“I’m excited to work a seasonal job around Christmas time, and be able to make more money,” senior Will Dery said.
A huge part of Christmas is both shopping and receiving gifts. At Jingle, they have an abundance of unique gifts and trinkets in their Artisan Village. While strolling through the light maze, make sure to stop at the vendors booth to complete your shopping list.
“I am most excited to be working with my best friends in a very festive environment because I love Christmas,” senior Ava Schwane said.
Everyone deserves a treat every once and while, so while at the festival make sure to stop by Food Truck Alley. Each day, local food trucks rotate and sell their delicious winter menu items. Favorites include hot chocolate, cookies, and more!
“I’m most excited to meet new people, and also work in a totally new type of job experience,” senior Jack Jones said.
Although the holiday season is just beginning, tickets for Jingle are quickly selling out. Additionally, they are still hiring, but jobs are filling up quickly. Make sure to check out the festival or apply quickly, as it is only around for this Christmas and will soon move on to its next location!
