As we get deeper into the school year, the amount of school work is becoming harder and harder. Since grades are being pulled on Monday, it is important to know some easy tips about how to stay on track with their grades.
Lots of students are busy working hard with jobs. Having a job can get very time consuming, and it is easy to forget about your school work. The biggest tip is to use your time wisely in the classroom.
“Some days during the week, I work from after school to close, so I make sure to use the time my teachers usually give me to work on my homework,” Chloe Price said.
Another common cause for students to slack off with school work is due to after school sports. Although sports are very important to a student’s life, school should always come first. If you know you have a test coming up it is a good idea to study a few days before especially if you have a game the night before.
“I have field hockey quite often throughout the week, so when I have tests I try to make that the priority, whether that is studying days before or still trying to study after my games,” Junior Pearl Mishra said.
School and grades have a huge impact on your life, especially relating to college. If you are wanting to seek extra help during empower hour, almost all the teachers are available to provide you with the help you need. You can also always email the teacher to help communicate and get that extra help.
“I really like that St. Dominic provides help during empower hour because sometimes I have questions about my homework and I need my teacher to explain it to me,” Junior Sam Liszewski said.
