As we get deeper into the year there have been more and more problems with the students’ blackbaud accounts. Blackbaud is the main source of all our academic goals.

Over the summer, Blackbaud created some very different updates to the app.  

Although it may have improved the app, many students are not big fans of the new layout of the app.

“I am not a big fan of the new update, because now it looks so much more complicated and it’s more confusing to see what my grade was on a test or assignment,” junior Pearl Mishra said.

One of the main concerns of Blackbaud is that the app never seems to work properly. Students have difficulties logging into the app. Now you are sent verification codes to log in, which never seem to work.

“I hate that Blackbaud never stays logged in, and I get annoyed when the verification code doesn’t work and then I’m behind on my teacher’s instructions,” senior Keeley Skiljian said.

Although we have many complications on the app, there are also lots of benefits of the app. Blackbaud makes it super easy to access all your assignments, see your grades, and it allows the teachers to easily see their students work.

“I like that I don’t have to worry about keeping track of a ton of papers and I can just turn in all my work online using blackbaud,” sophomore Gwenny Roberts said.

When you are having difficulties with the app, one of the best things to do is try a different browser. If you are using safari, then it is recommended to try using google chrome. If that doesn’t work contacting Mr. Small is a great option. 

“I found that using google chrome has worked way better than safari, and it works way quicker than safari ever does,” senior Lexi Raft said.
