St. Dominic High School Night was a huge success this year. High School night is a chance to showcase our beautiful school and the Catholic Schools of St. Louis.
High School Night is also a great chance to learn more about the admissions process of St. Dominic and many other similar schools. Along with the opportunity to get to know the school and its many programs it provides.
“The St. Dominic High School is a great place to learn more about St. Dominic and its many opportunities, and I enjoyed helping with this event because we helped guide prospective middle school families around the school so they could learn more about different high schools,” Chole Kirkpatrick, St. Dominic Junior, said when asked about High School Night.
Many students get to help at this event, especially if they are involved in the Ambassador club or are a part of several extracurricular activities at St. Dominic. Around 40 total students aided in this event and helped make it a success.
“This event was impactful because prospective families got the chance to learn more about our school from Leah Burcham, Keeley Skiljan, TJ Blattel & Ethan Bolinger. They were able to tell them all about what St. Dominic has to offer and their own personal St. Dominic journey. We had parents come up to us afterwards and tell us that hearing the students speak about their lives at St. Dominic was very moving,” Mrs. Mennemeier, the assistant director of admissions, said.
High School Night is about more than just learning about high schools, it is about learning students’ experiences with this school. This event impacts a variety of people, including the staff of St. Dominic, the students, the future students, and the parents. Overall, this event aided in several people coming to a decision about sending their child to St. Dominic or not.
“I believe it was a success. Any chance that we get to show off our amazing campus, students and community, I feel is always going to prove to be successful!”Mrs. Mennemeier said.
The overall success of the event is seen in the people that attended this event and helped out. Another exciting event coming up at St. Dominic is the Alumni BBQ, which will take place on Friday, September 20.
