Major League Soccer kicked off the start of the 2024 season over the past few weeks. Many teams look to start off strong in hope to win the MLS Cup at the end of the season, in style. Speaking of style, every MLS team is to wear and showcase their brand new jerseys through the 2024 season.
Our first kit is Toronto FC. People call it the “GTA Kit,” with white and red lining on the shoulders. It uses Toronto’s secondary logo, which is a large T along with a F and a C right below it.
Staying in Canada, the next club we visit is Vancouver. They call their kit “The 50 Jersey” because they are celebrating their 50th anniversary since the club was founded. The kit is dark blue with a gold and white outline. This jersey represents all of the supporters they’ve had over the years.
FC Cincinnati has a brand new kit called the “The Canvas Kit.” Cincinnati’s new kit is white, with a very colorful outline consisting of the team’s colors: orange and blue. This new kit will give Cincinnati some style on the pitch.
This next uniform is one that many St. Louis fans will be wearing this MLS season. It’s called “The Confluence Kit.” The main color is white with a splash of that iconic St. Louis City red. It showcases the St. Louis flag on the bottom of the jersey.
Moving on to the East Coast, the New England Revolution kit will include a blue jersey with orange stripes going vertically down the jersey. The shoulders and sleeves will be bright orange with white stripes going horizontal across the shoulders, and the club logo located near the heart.
Heading over to the city that never sleeps, the New York Red Bulls new kit is a vibrant red with black vertical zig zag stripes. going down the front. On the back of the jersey the team name is listed in white below the player number. Another New York team who has a new uniform is New York FC. Their jerseys are very similar to Manchester city’s jersey. They are rocking the baby blue with navy blue lines on the shoulders.
Next up we have the Philadelphia Union. Their kit is a navy color, with a gold and Carolina blue pattern going down the center of it. The outline of the jersey is a Carolina blue as well, and the player number is gold.
Moving out west, the Portland Timbers got creative with their new kit. The main color of the kit is a cream white with dark green palm trees spotted around the jersey and sleeves. The logo is located near the center of the jersey.
The next team on the list is Sporting Kansas City. Their new dark blue kit with a navy diamond pattern across the front, adds a nice touch. The player number is a lighter blue and the logo is located near the heart.
Going down south, Atlanta United’s new kit, will now feature a white and light blue colors, with white being the jersey color with a light blue phoenix showcased across the front of the kit. The jersey is outlined in blue and yellow.
Heading over to Hollywood, LAFC and LA Galaxy have some brand new uniforms. LAFC have a brand new home uniform, rocking a matte black kit with gold stripes. It’s simple, but clean. On the other hand, LA Galaxy has a brand new kit as well, with a dark teal kit and a cool pattern on the collar.
The final big uniform change is Miami. They have two new uniforms. They have a new home and away. Their away uniform is black with pink outlines. Their home uniform is a dark pink with black outlines.
Heading over to rain city the Seattle Sounders, are rocking new uniforms and a new logo. Let’s start with the logo, the logo is a cleaner and smoother version of the old. It features the iconic space needle with Seattle’s team colors light green and navy blue. Now the uniforms are green with light blue stripes going down the whole jersey.
As we continue through the list, the next club is Austin. Austin is calling this kit “La Voces,” which represents coming together as a community. The jersey is a tree green with black and white stripes, featured everywhere throughout the jersey. The jersey numbers are white, and the club badge is featured near the heart.
Moving back out east now, we stop in North Carolina and visit Charlotte FC. Sticking with the Carolina theme, the jersey features white, the classic TarHeel blue along with a regular blue. The design is ombré, starting with the blue at the bottom of the jersey, then fading up through the TarHeel blue, and then finishing off with the white. It seems so plain, but it looks chic and new and fits the club well.
As we move back westward, we run into the Rocky Mountains and visit Colorado Rapids. Their stylish new white kit brings out shades of a dark blue and purple design on the front. There is also a hint of bright red on the outlines of the shirt, which blends in nicely with the rest of the pállate.
Staying near Colorado, we move over one state as we visit Real Salt Lake in Utah. Their new kit they will be showcasing is simple. It is a gold kit with blue stripes on the shoulders and a hint of red on the collar of the jersey.
We now commute to the next club, which is Chicago Fire. They have some pretty unique jerseys for this season. They are calling it the return to red. Chicago Fire is throwing on a new fire red jersey. It features light blue which pops with the fire red.
Marching down to Ohio, the MLS Cup champions Columbus Crew have a brand new kit. Their kit is yellow, with a cool black zig zag design in the middle. It’s simple, but it will stand out on the pitch.
We now will travel down to cowboy nation Dallas. FC Dallas has a new kit and they call it the “Afterburner” that starts with navy blue, but starts to fade into red. Other than that, it’s a pretty simple jersey that has white lining and will look pretty cool on the pitch.
DC United is rocking a new kit this season called the cherry blossom. It’s a very unique jersey. It’s white with a cherry blossom tree running down the side of the jersey. It’s definitely one of the most unique jerseys on this list.
It’s safe to say that fans will look forward to seeing their teams play in their new kits and hope to see them win the MLS Cup.
