Homecoming week has finally made its way around the corner, and it will definitely be a week filled with an abundance of school spirit. The spirit days of the week were announced and they could not be more exciting.
Monday is pajama day, and this means everyone can crawl out of bed and go right to school.
“I think pj day will be my favorite this year,” Sophomore Clare Griesenauer said.
On Tuesday, the spirit day will be Barbie vs Ken. This day will definitely be a major hit on the student population because of the impact this movie had on people this summer. It will be truly amazing to see the creative outfits that students come up with for this theme.
“I am most excited for Barbie vs. Ken day because that movie became really popular this summer and I think people will go all out,” Freshman Ariana Ramirez said.
Another mass day will be celebrated on Wednesday, and though it’s not as fun to dress up for, it is the most important day of the week.
“Mass day is definitely the most important day for us. As a school we get the chance to come together and pray to God in the middle of a chaotic and stressful week,” Senior Connor Beerman said.
Just before we wrap up the week, Thursday is camouflage versus neon. On this day you either become seen, or completely invisible.
“I’m so excited for camo vs neon, I think people are going to dress head to toe in ghillie suits and paint their faces and I can’t wait to see it,” Junior Ella Fister said.
During spirit week every year on Friday, the student population has the freshmen and juniors wear blue while the sophomores and seniors wear white. This is a classic tradition that never ceases to bring joy to the community.
Homecoming week is an amazing opportunity to partake in the spirit of St. Dominic. Each spirit day is planned out perfectly and gets so many students involved. It is truly a week full of joy that will be remembered forever.
