A Magical Evening

Our Prom King and Queen Rose Juergensmeyer and Max Cammarata

This past Friday, St. Dominic’s juniors and seniors celebrated prom at the Old Hickory Golf Club. It was a night filled with fun festivities, amazing outfits and lots of dancing. With prom being one of the last major events of the school year, it really was the best way to celebrate all of the amazing upperclassmen.

An amazing sunset and beautiful weather meant that pictures were going to have amazing lighting, and boy was that ever so true. So many juniors and seniors were out on the deck just itching for a spot at the balcony to get pictures with their friends. The balcony (as it usually is) was by far the most popular place to get pictures at Old Hickory. The pretty view plus the sunsetting made for amazing pictures

Everybody came out and came dressed to the proper attire. All the girls were creative with their dresses. I didn’t see many of them alike, and some of them were even surprised at how beautiful they were. All of the boys were lovely, dressed in tuxedos and suits, and it was just great to see everybody come together and be dressed up for a nice event and get out of those uniforms.

The dinner at Old Hickory was absolutely delicious. The sides of mashed potatoes and broccoli were perfectly made for everyone to enjoy. One of the main dishes, chicken, was one of the best dinner choices I made. Although I did not have the steak, I heard it was flavorful and well cooked. We can’t forget about the delicious cheesecake for dessert that completed the meal.

The place to be on Friday night was on the dance floor. From the first song till the last, the dance floor was never empty. Unsurprisingly the songs that got the crowd the most hyped were Pitbull’s songs. However, there wasn’t a single song that had people going back to sit down. The only time you would ever see someone leave the dance floor was to get some fresh air because it got real toasty being in the middle of all those people!

A huge congratulations goes out to the 2023 Prom King and Queen, Max Cammarata and Rose Juergensmeyer. Max and Rose won Prom King and Queen much to the delight of the crowd on Friday night as they got perhaps the loudest crowd reaction. Prom King and Queen, which is voted in by everyone in attendance, went to Max and Rose despite there being three other amazing couples in running being: Chase Freesemeier and Macie Drummond, Kaiden Pickens and Olivia Arrowood, and George Morrow and Charlize Courtney. A huge congratulations goes out to all four couples for being on Prom court! It certainly was difficult to pick a winner with all four being amazing choices.
