How Universal Brought it’s A-Game

Will Dery and his family visit Universal Studios in Florida

If you know me, you know I love Disney! However I recently spent time at Universal Studios Orlando and, I must say, I would absolutely go back.

Universal was entertaining in every aspect. When someone goes to a park like Six Flags, they are there for the thrills and excitement. When someone goes to a park like Universal Studios, they are immersed into a themed experience that brings another level of excitement.

Every aspect of the park is so themed and detailed. Even while waiting in a queue for a ride, there is so much to see, and touch in the line. For example, while waiting in line for a ride called The Forbidden Journey in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, it is themed to feel like you are actually walking through Hogwarts Castle. It makes the time waiting a lot less boring.

The different lands and attractions in Universal, were absolutely incredible. Jurassic Park really made you feel like you were back in time during the Cretaceous Period. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter gave the impression that you were a true wizard at Hogwarts.

E.T. Adventure, was an out of this world galactic experience where you rode on a bike to bring E.T. back to his home. Seuss Land was a great area for kids to explore and go on rides. The Marvel Comics area made you feel like a true superhero while you became an experiment on the Hulk Coaster and while you swung hundreds of feet above the city on the Spider Man ride.

Dining experiences were also fantastic. There were so many different options. You could go get a Butterbeer in Harry Potter, eat at the Circus Mcgurkus in Seuss Land, feast like a carnivore in Jurassic Park, or find a quick bite on City Walk.

The most amazing part though, was the happiness that it brought everyone. It’s not Disney, but you could still truly see families having a great time together, and smiles put onto people’s faces when they walked in. If someone asked if I would go back to Universal, I would absolutely say yes.
