Seasons are changing and fall is right around the corner

As fall is arriving, and activities start filling your calendar, consider one of the most popular, a corn maze. Bored on a sunny fall day? Try apple picking. Out here in the Midwest, there is no better time to be spending time outside then the seasonal change of summer to fall. Apple picking gives you a reason to take advantage of this sweater weather with this fun and healthy activity. There is no better way to ensure that the apples you’re eating are free of preservatives than picking them yourself. 

Every year in September, you’ll start seeing advertisements for local haunted houses, promising to scare even the bravest of those who dare to enter. Being scared is a feeling that most people tend to stay away from if they can help it. However, for many the adrenaline rush that comes with feeling frightened is sometimes too good to pass up. Haunted houses offer guests a place to be scared while also having fun with friends or family. They are a lot more enjoyable when you know there is no real risk of being harmed.

Fun things to watch this fall would be movies like Hocus Pocus, Harry Potter, or Michael Meyers movies. Hocus-pocus is a children and family movie where 300 years ago the Sanderson sisters were punished for practicing witchcraft and Max Dennison lit a candle that said to bring the witches back to life and now he must save all of the kids. Harry potter is an eight movie series about sorcery and magic and is a good binge watch. The Michael Myers movies are horror movies made for older teens and adults that take place during Halloween. All of these movies are great movies to watch during the fall, and are sure to get you ready for Halloween. 

There are a couple of tasty treats to bake this fall that are perfect for the season. Some sweet snacks include pumpkin pie, apple pie, and cookies. Nothing beats a good pie in the fall. By far the best two flavors of pie or pumpkin and apple for fall. Another tasty snack is sugar cookies. There are hundreds of different types of cookies like snickerdoodles, or gooey butter, or good old chocolate chip that you can make it’s just a matter of finding the one you like.
