Setting up for Victory
The boys varsity volleyball team has made it through this season without a hitch. They have continued to work hard in practices and have given 110% at all of their matches. In only their second year, they earned a hard fought 12-14 record.
It took Coach Allen and the team a while to find what worked best for them. One of their many accomplishments this season was beating St. Mary’s. The boys battled hard the whole time to pull off this win.
“We found our intensity and team chemistry in that game. Definitely one of my favorite wins ever as a coach, the boys made me very proud that game,” said Coach Allen.
In these final games, Coach Allen plans for the team to intensify their offense and become more disciplined on their defense. The team has pushed themselves all season to be the best and are anticipating the first game of districts. The boys have definitely found their rhythm and learned how to play efficiently as a team. The team has exceeded many expectations this season, as they continue to show their hard work and dedication. Additionally, Coach Allen said she has grown close to the boys and doesn’t want the season to come to an end.
“They are constantly making me laugh and they keep things lighthearted. I’m surprised at how much I’ve learned about myself as a coach this season and that’s thanks to my boys,” said Coach Allen.
The team continues to show hard work and dedication to the sport. Good luck to the boys at districts, which start May 15, at Rockwood Summit at 4 p.m.
