Basketball’s Future is Bright
The St. Dominic varsity boys basketball team is on a roll. They are currently 13-5 after beating Christian last Friday. They’ve had a successful season so far and show no signs of slowing down as they hope to achieve another district championship title.
The players have achieved many accomplishments including earning second place in the St. Dominic Christmas tournament. They also took home the first place trophy in the Borgia’s tournament earlier this season. The varsity boys have a good chance of reaching their goal of winning districts. They are the only team in the district with such a consistent winning record, and they show no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
The entire team has stepped up this season and put in the work to get themselves to the top. Each player has taken on an individual role and done exceedingly well with it to this point. They have played some high-class teams that are very talented, and although they have lost a few games, it has made the team stronger as a whole.
Although the basketball season is now in the home stretch, the Crusader boys still have a few games left to dominate the court. As long as the team continues showing up with the same dedication and drive we know they’re capable of, this season’s outcome is sure to be one to remember. The varsity basketball team plays again this Friday, so make sure to our boys luck as they take on Bishop Dubourg.
